Hereโs a screenshot of my missed calls. Look familiar? I donโt answer calls during the day because Iโm working. I call the front desk back after hours and theyโre unavailable. I leave voicemail explaining the merits of online self-scheduling because thatโs what I do for a living. They acknowledge itโs a good idea, but itโs out of their hands. If youโre at a provider or a plan, be more demanding. Who makes these decisions? Find them. Imagine not having to make a phone call ever again in the healthcare system, not for scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, making referrals, or collecting payments. Imagine the conversation with a patient or member actually being about their care. Isnโt that a better use of time? Thatโs what weโre working on. And yes of course, we are hiring.

Anatomy of a bad insurance producer job ad. Here's the opener (exact cut & paste with company name removed): "The COMPANY is a leading provider of tailored insurance solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. Our commitment to delivering personalized coverage, utilizing advanced digital tools, and fostering strong client relationships sets us apart in the insurance industry. As we continue to expand our reach, we're seeking a driven and dynamic Commercial Insurance Sales Representative to join our team. As a Commercial Insurance Sales Representative at COMPANY, you will play a crucial role in driving our business growth and expanding our client base." So what's wrong with this job ad? 1. Boring. 2. Sentences are long. Hard to read. 3. "We/Us/Our" = used 8X versus "You/Your" = used 1X. Point 3 is the worse offense: corporate arrogance. The opposite of the approach for an effective job ad. You need to answer "what's in it for me?" from the reader's point of view. #insurance #insuranceindustry #sales
