The world has lost one of the finest human beings I ever knew. Executive recruiter Melanie Kusin long was an outspoken advocate of women's advancement -- and coached her daughter about how to stand up for herself in the workplace. You can learn more about Melanie in my book #PowerMoms. https://lnkd.in/eGpEvA7b
I'm so sorry Joann S. Lublin, she sounds like a wonderful person.
I only learned today of Melanie’s passing while on a visit to the US from South Africa. I was honoured to count Melanie as a mentor and inspiration when I joined Heidrick in 1999. We planned in great detail to hold the first ever Consumer Practice Meeting for Heidrick in South Africa. And, if it wasn’t for the tragic event of 9/11 which halted international travel, it would have happened. Our profession has lost a great leader.
Oh no, I’m so saddened to learn of this. Sending so much love to her family and the KF family.
The executive search profession has lost a world class search professional and an inspirational leader....
Melanie was always full of such wonderful sparkle. As a colleague she was both a wise mentor and warm friend. Such a loss but most certainly a kind soul leaving a lasting impact.
Thank you for this tribute, Joann. My mother truly enjoyed collaborating with you.
Melanie was truly special..
What an incredible loss! Melanie will be so missed.
Former CEO at Arbonne International
4moJoanne - thx for this post. I had the honor of being placed by Melanie, working with Melanie in many subsequent projects and becoming a good friend of hers and her incredible daughter. I loved her dearly for her emotional intelligence that was second to none, her vivacious personality, and most of all her deep care for her family, friends and colleagues. At her craft I have always put her at the very top- she will be missed on so many levels and her loss is a daily reminder of the need to make life count - and oh yes she did❤️
