This is huge. Thanks for sharing! I always put shares as a top KPI but finding the number out was always problematic because there was never context about how others stack up.

I noticed this the other day and thought to myself, "hm, weird flex." As a marketer, we're looking at shares religiously as it's a wildly important intent/vibe-check metric... If they will now release this data to third-party platforms, it's a great move. Otherwise, just another weird flex from IG.

I don't know if I feel it's necessary (I'm truly on the fence!), but seeing how certain content performs relative to our own and others in the same space will be interesting. At the moment, I'm more interested in seeing what I can learn by analyzing which of my posts are getting the most shares.
