Many Slack messages contain an important request such as a bug report, IT need, or HR question. To better manage these requests, teams are adopting Linear Asks. Asks turns Slack requests into actionable issues in Linear. Instead of staying in Slack where they are hard to track, requests made via Asks get routed to the relevant team in Linear for review and action. Teams have adopted Asks to: • Manage bug reports in shared Slack channels • Move their IT request workflow into Linear • Handle inbound requests from internal teams • Reduce back and forth for common requests • Automate intake with templates and auto-creation We'll be demoing Asks on April 16th in a session hosted by Simone Jacobs and Skyline Lau. RSVP at the link in the comments.

I use Linear Asks on a daily basis and it's made my life as a product manager easier. Thank you 🫶
Since we don’t use Slack, we built a similar system to this using your API. Support tickets go straight to the correct team’s triage, and we sync the issue status so people can follow along! Works great, but am curious to see how much better it can get using your dedicated solution!
Amazing feature! It made our team more productive. We enjoy using Linear so much.
Yep, we use Asks for triage.

3moI want a *looser* integration between Linear and Slack. Instead of porting over the whole issue into Slack (which mangles it badly and hamstrings important data), shoot me a simple notification so I can pop open Linear and interact with the purpose built UX for that interaction, which is why I pay for Linear in the first place. I love Linear and the craftsmanship therein, but this "asks" thing with Slack seems feature-bloatey.
