A timely post for Brainz Magazine, just as the temperature starts to sizzle here in the UK. How can yoga help you cool down in the heat? 🧘♂️ Here, I explain 4 methods from a physiological perspective of how the body self-regulates in response to an increase in body temperature. I also outline which poses may be effective in helping you to cool down. It's interesting to learn that 'savasana' is one of them, which is one of the most accessible poses of all. 👉 Learn more here. #yoga #physiology #wellbeing

Ashtanga Namaskara is a fundamental part of the Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar) sequence in yoga. It involves a series of eight distinct movements that are performed in a sequence, typically as part of a yoga practice. The eight movements of Ashtanga Namaskara are as follows: 🧘♀️ Start in a standing position (Mountain Pose). 🧘♀️Bend the knees and place the palms on the ground in front of you. 🧘♀️ Lower the knees to the ground. 🧘♀️ Lower the chest to the ground, keeping the elbows close to the body. 🧘♀️ Keep the hips off the ground and lower the abdomen to the floor. 🧘♀️Slide the body forward and arch the back, bringing the chest forward (Cobra Pose). 🧘♀️ Lift the hips up and back, forming an inverted V shape (Downward Facing Dog Pose). 🧘♀️ Bring the knees back to the ground and return to the starting position. #trending #yogaflow #yogalove #yogalifestyle #yogaeveryday #yoganft #yogaworld #yogaforstress #spirtuality #meditation #yogaforlife #yogapractices #healthyheart #wellbeing #wellness #nft #nftcollectors #nftcollection #nftdrops

We are always changing, but during our senior years the shifts may become more noticeable to us. Although yoga therapy cannot reverse time, it may be able to help slow the progression of change and maintain quality of life as we age. And it is never too late to add yoga into your life! Agreed. And it never to late to add Somatics to your Yoga Practice. SomaYoga is a blending of somatics with yoga therapy. SomaYoga first uses the somatic technique of pandiculation to re-educate muscles that have been stuck short and tight due to traumas, beliefs, habituated ways of doing and being and injuries. As we get older we think - my posture will slouch, and my spine gets shorter! This does not truly have to be the case. Sensory Motor Amnesia (the brains what of keeping muscles stuck short and tight) is actually the real cause of poor posture, immobile joints and loss of height. Join us and learn SomaYoga and discover more ease of movement, breath, mind and spirit at any age! #resolvepainguru #somayoga #mindbodyblueprint
