The fundamentals: - Use your employees’ expertise, talk to experts in your field, and/or conduct primary research to generate original content that cannot be found anywhere else online. - Talk to your target audience and find out exactly what it is they want to know about via surveys, sales calls and social media listening services. - Refrain from regurgitating content that can already be found online. If you’re not adding something new to the conversation, what is the point? - Put at least the same amount (and probably more) of effort and resources into research and distribution as the creation. - Repurpose everything you create to get multiple pieces of content out of it.
