I left home at 15 fully convinced I was not as clever or even capable as most.... - I didn’t get the good grades like my sister. - I didn’t really fit in with any one crowd at school. - I always despised reading or even talking in front of an audience. I carried that insecurity into my early 20s where I bounced around jobs, trying desperately to fit in somewhere, whilst always thinking of all the other places I’d rather be. It was only in my mid 20s that I finally found something I was passionate about (and pretty good at). And that thing was logistics. Some people think that’s funny, and that you can’t be passionate about something like logistics. Those people would be wrong. Fast forward another decade and I’ve now got my own logistics business, a lovely team, and I’m working with some of the leading brands from all over the UK & Europe. Oh, and that girl who hated public speaking? She built amazing relationships with incredible people and just got back from Marrakech where she talked about the future of supply chain efficiency to a room of industry peers! I recently attended the Leaders in Logistics KSA Summit 2023 in Riyadh, and I was very impressed with the event. The speakers were top-notch and the content was very informative. The summit covered a wide range of topics, including: -The latest trends in the logistics industry -The impact of e-commerce on logistics -The role of technology in logistics -The importance of sustainability in logistics I also had the opportunity to network with other professionals in the industry, which was very valuable. I'm excited to see how the Saudi logistics sector continues to grow in the years to come. Here are some of the key takeaways from the summit: -The Saudi logistics sector is growing rapidly, and is expected to reach \$100 billion by 2030. -The growth of e-commerce is driving demand for logistics services. -Technology is playing a major role in transforming the logistics industry. -Sustainability is becoming increasingly important in logistics.
