Simon Willison's recent article resonates deeply with my views on AI in business. AI should be an assistive tool, enhancing our capabilities, not replacing our responsibility. As Simon rightly points out, "sharing unreviewed, AI-generated content is rude." It undermines your reputation and the trust others place in you. Take ownership of what you put out in the world and ensure it reflects your standards. Remember, neglecting this can lead to serious consequences. Be diligent, be respectful, and let AI be your ally, not a shortcut. And say no to slop!

I also see a business in slop detection / anti-slop tools and we'll be going back to human generated content real fast.

Very well said. It's a great assistant and a terrible direct report.
