On behalf of everyone at UK Home Office, I'd like to offer a warm welcome to Rt Hon Yvette Cooper as our new Home Secretary. We look forward to working in partnership with her on the Government’s priorities.
I had the pleasure to work with the SoS when she was secretary for DWP. I wish her and you all well for this most difficult agenda.
Matthew I congratulate and wish Yvette Cooper the very best in her new appointment as Home Secretary with a very difficult job ahead. I dismay hearing from her colleagues about smashing the migrant boat gangs. Having recently spoken to an Albanian long distance lorry driver. A very well established and organised firm previously known as the ‘Mafia” are the lead. There intelligence/ corruption systems both in Europe and UK are excellent and seem to be one step ahead. Many migrants are recruited to commit UK crime. Once a lieutenant is captured he/she is simply replaced.
God help the British people with this woman in the HO
Good luck, and I hope that the country comes before any political preferences.
Well deserved - right choice after all the previous mindless Morans who wasted millions of tax payers money with no consequence. Rwanda must be thinking - they call us banana republic 😂😂😂.. 300m for cup of tea and hand shake 😎Next !!!
She will be brilliant
I can only imagine how much more positive an environment civil servants will find themselves working. The toxins have gone.
A hugely challenging job but I finally feel hopeful with this appointment. A pair of safe hands. I hope she receives all the support she needs for her role.
👏
Now working full-time at the HO in Sheffield.
1wPlease allow us to recruit CSs again in SAS Engineering. We are bleeding and stretched so thin supporting and building services. It feels wrong to keep hiring more and more contractors, or spending money on them that pays for dividends rather than services.
