The advanced therapy sector has seen strong growth across the last quarter ⬇️ 🧬 117 deals were made, a 6% increase on Q1 🧬 Financing increased by 31% vs Q1 🧬 Nine advanced molecular therapy acquisitions were announced, compared to 7 in Q1 🧬 Alliances saw a slowdown, decreasing by 26% from Q1 We continue to see a lot of incredible research and clinical success in the CGT space. This needs to be matched with commercial success, or the industry will continue to struggle to drive scale and reduce costs as it looks to increase patient access. Transduction of cells with lentiviruses has not been as convenient and uncomplicated as it can be with the use of Takara Lenti-X Transduction Sponge! The process involves simply adding a mixture of virus and cells onto the sponge and allowing for incubation. The sponge acts as a microfluidic transduction enhancer, bringing cells and viruses in close proximity during incubation and then dissolving upon subsequent centrifugation. As a result, the efficiency of transduction is enhanced with a more convenient and user-friendly method.
