90 years ago, Hendrik Meijer opened our very first store in Greenville, Michigan, with his wife Gezina and their children, Johanna and Fred. Today, we remain focused on their legacy of serving our customers, creating a culture of dignity and respect, and investing in the communities we serve. Here’s to celebrating our remarkable heritage and the next 90 years.
Spencer Spencer Spencer. Although it may seem socially unacceptable to "deck the stores out for Christmas," please realize that Meijer has always adapted to the ever evolving customer needs. Today's consumers demand change. Don't you see it is exactly that... not doing things the way "we always use too" is what sets Meijer apart from all the rest. The ability for Meijer to recognize market trends before they happen and respond to the trends has been the Meijer way. Even when it comes to Decking stores out for Christmas. One thing that will never change is their commitment to the customer. Fred once said to me that "customers can find the same goods and services at just about any other store for within pennies of the same costs. It's how we treat our customers that will keep them shopping with us." He also said, in the same conversation, that "the customer is not an interruption of our work, the customer is the purpose of our work." So, yes it is different not seeing stores all "decked out" for Christmas, but the change that will never occur is to have " bold upper management offend people! "
Who can we get to revamp how pharmacy technicians for Meijer level up, I'm currently stuck as a level 2 technician cause they snuck in the requirement to give vaccines and wellness checks to level up, when I hired on it was not part of the job requirements now I'm between a rock and a hard place because I want to advance in my career but because of restrictions where I'm terrified of needles and pass out with blood there's no way for me to do so
