18 years ago, Manish Goel and I embarked on a remarkable journey together. It wasn't just any journey; it was the daring adventure of entrepreneurship. As we reminisce about our beginnings, it's as if we're peering through the lens of time, watching our younger selves take the first steps into the unknown. Our story began with an inspiration, fueled by ambition and a shared dream. With unwavering determination, we launched NIDAAN SYSTEMS INC., diving headfirst into the unpredictable world of startups. Little did we know then, this leap of faith would reshape our lives in profound ways. The journey was wild, filled with exhilarating highs and daunting lows, both in our personal lives as well as the business. We weathered the storms of uncertainty, navigating through challenges that tested our resilience and commitment. Yet, with each obstacle overcome, we emerged stronger, more resilient than before. But it wasn't just about building a business; it was about building a life together. Working side by side, we discovered the intricate dance of collaboration and compromise. We learned to harness each other's strengths, complementing our skills to achieve our shared vision. As partners in both business and life, we found that the key to our success lay in the foundation of our relationship. Communication became our lifeline, fostering understanding and empathy even in the midst of chaos. We embraced the notion that our marriage wasn't just a partnership; it was a dynamic synergy that fueled our entrepreneurial spirit. As we reflect on our journey, we're humbled by the support of our clients, employees, friends and well-wishers. Their belief in us fueled our determination, propelling us forward even when the path seemed uncertain. To each and every one of them, we extend our deepest gratitude. Through the years, we've grown not only as entrepreneurs but as individuals. Our journey together has been a testament to the power of love, resilience, and dedication. And as we continue to navigate the ever-changing landscape of entrepreneurship, we do so with gratitude in our hearts and a shared commitment to making our marriage and our business thrive. We're looking forward to the next 18 and beyond.

September is Hispanic Heritage Month. The theme is 'Prosperity, Power, and Progress', recognizing the significant achievements of the Hispanic community in economic and political industries. Meet Miranda Behn and find out what Hispanic Heritage Month means to her. How has your heritage shaped the person you are today? My Hispanic Heritage defines me in so many ways, from my idiosyncrasies and sense of humor to my creative side. I credit it all to my heritage and growing up in the desert in AZ. Does your family have any traditions that are especially important to you? We have several. We have a lot of July birthdays in the family, so we celebrate together and then something hilarious ensues (come to me if you want to hear the stories). We also cook together for Thanksgiving and then proceed to critique each other over our cooking skills. When my grandmother was alive, she always won – the woman could cook anything and make it savory! What does Hispanic Heritage Month mean to you? I think it’s fantastic that we recognize a significant part of our population and the Hispanic influence on our country. Everything from language, architecture, food, music, soccer, fashion, etc., has greatly enriched our country and for that, I think we should celebrate it. How can we continue to raise awareness of Hispanic Heritage Month? First, recognizing those within the organization that have a Hispanic heritage is a great first step, so thank you AP for giving us a platform. As Christmas season approaches, Hispanic communities around the world eagerly prepare to celebrate Navidad with a diverse range of traditions that spring from their cultural heritage. Las Posadas: A symbolic, festive journey For example, in Mexico, we celebrate with The Procession and Songs, then we have ponche ( a traditional drink), we break the piñatas with picos, and have a good time with family and friends. Nochebuena, or Christmas Eve, holds significant importance in Hispanic culture — it can be as important as Christmas itself. Families come together on the night of December 24 to share a lavish feast that typically includes traditional dishes — depending not only on the country but also on local and even familiar traditions. Día de los Santos Inocentes: A Hispanic twist on April Fools’ Day December 28 is celebrated as Día de los Santos Inocentes — the celebration takes a somewhat unexpected twist. Looking to pull out last minute Hispanic Heritage month ideas? Here are some dos and do nots: Do: utilize your socials, blogs and newsletters to honor Latinx contributions to your own industries. Don’t: single out employees as a way to highlight them, this can make folks feels more marginalized and not everyone wants the spotlight. Do: make monetary contributions to Hispanic organizations or create your own scholarships—even amounts as small as $500 can make an impact on the community (doesn’t hurt that it is usually a tax write off) and this can be something that lasts/creates a legacy for your brand. Don’t: ignore the topic. A single mention goes a long way. While the goal is never to be performative, don’t get overwhelmed with the options and do nothing. Allyship starts with acknowledgment.
