According to former Matildas player and sports administrator Moya Dodd AO, brands should be taking a more active role in monetising and advertising during women's sporting tournaments. She also suggests it's time for a revaluation of selling rights for televised women's sports. Ms Dodd recently spoke on our 'Sport's Outsized Impact' panel at the 2023 Women in Media Conference. Take a look at our latest article, which delves into the topic of gender equity in sports. https://bit.ly/48mG5mo

Visionary CEO at Rio Dayne Inc & Aspirant for Toronto City Council – Forging New Pathways in Civic Leadership and Technological Advancement.
Hon. Marci Ien: A 'special' #WomensHistoryMonth event, elevated by a remarkable panel. However, let's not obscure the full landscape with selective brush strokes. The need of the hour isn't just to celebrate but to act. I reached out for assistance, to your ministry and others, met only by echoing silence. What then, are the concrete steps for real progress? While hashtags and panel discussions are steps in the right direction, they fall short when measured against the yardstick of tangible action. For women navigating the tumultuous seas of entrepreneurship and familial responsibilities, like myself, the beacon of government support has often proved to be nothing more than a mirage. So as we 'keep pushing progress,' let's remember that progress isn't only made in the halls of panel discussions or under the spotlight of social media. Sometimes, it's made in the dim light of a failing business or the dwindling hope of a woman striving for a lifeline. Let us turn our words into a symphony of actions that uplift every woman, not just the ones who make it to the panel.

Intersectionality Matters in Sport: My latest research highlights the challenges faced by non-white women in sports leadership. "I see cis-gendered, white women advancing well but no one else. As a woman, I may actually find myself on relatively equal ground but as a woman of colour, I am many many steps behind."(Respondent) Access My Interim Report: https://bit.ly/4aQbVcg #AdvancingWomeninSport #WomenInSport
