Companies can potentially save more than $1 million a year in preventable accidents by reducing financial stress among their workforce, according to a 2019 study by the University of Pittsburgh. Professor Carrie Leana's study – which surveyed a group of over 1,000 short-haul drivers – found that companies could save millions more if there is even one injury or fatality among their preventable accidents.
