1. If you haven’t done it recently, download all the sales scripts and start reading them an hour a day and role-playing them verbatim. 2. Keep building your database … but also every 6 months, go through and eliminate those who’ll never call … always understand that your database should bring you a minimum of 30-35% of your total transactions. 3. Even though listings are selling faster than ever … before going on a listing presentation, be sure to preview anything that has just come on the market or just sold to better establish your comparable sales. 4. Barnes and Noble is to Borders as... Remember this SAT question... Demand Gen is to Lead Gen. I had a sales rep reachout who is on the "cutting edge" to Lead Gen and all I could think of was this comparison. If your business is reliant on lead gen as Broder was on to physical books, well, then your destiny is made. It's not to say there isn't a time and place for lead gen and physical books. Yes. And.... You can't capture qualifies leads without first creating demand. If you're showing up as purely a lead gen option you're missing an important component just as Borders was. Roll with the times. You need both.
