🚀 Reflecting on a pivotal moment in my corporate journey back in 2006 at my organisation As a sales executive, I was tasked with submitting next year's sales forecast. On one fateful morning, my boss's boss asked me for those numbers, as my immediate supervisor was on vacation. I had no clue and requested a day to prepare. I tried reaching my boss but couldn't get through. Realizing I had to act, I turned to my MBA textbook to assess market potential and calculate the numbers. I toiled overnight but wasn't satisfied with my calculations. Just as I was pondering my predicament, my boss, Sachin, surprised me with a call. I explained my situation and asked for an hour-long meeting to make sense of it. Sachin's advice was simple but profound: "Look at the last five years' numbers, assess the growth, and derive a figure for the next year. Craft a story to support that number." I hesitated, knowing the market forecast wasn't as rosy as before. His response? "Don't worry, Purav. Mid-next year, we'll adapt the narrative to fit the market situation and explain why we couldn't meet the target." In just ten minutes, I had the number, shared it with my superior, and he accepted it. The lesson I learned that day: "Once in the corporate world, don't go back to school to learn, learn from the real life journey" 🎯 #CorporateJourney #ProfessionalGrowth #BusinessWisdom ***************** 💥UNLEASH YOUR POTENTIAL TO ACHIEVE MORE IN LESS TIME💥 Lead your life's journey as a director, not just a character. Passionate Business Development Professional | Devoted Husband, Father & Golf Hack | Guided by Faith in Business & Life
🚨 warning! 🚨 long post incoming! This week, I'm taking a moment to recalibrate and focus on what truly drives progress in my role as a Business Development Manager at UpRys. It's not just about the milestones or the endgame—it's about valuing every step of the journey. Here’s how I’m shifting my perspective: Cherishing Every Interaction: Each call, email, and meeting isn't just a task; it's an opportunity to learn, to connect, and to solve. Beyond Results: While outcomes matter, I'm finding joy in the process. The satisfaction comes from knowing every effort is a building block for our future. Self-Reflection: Competing with myself, pushing my boundaries, not to surpass others, but to become a better version of myself for our clients. Internal Drive: I'm motivated by the impact we make, not the applause that might follow. Serving our customers, addressing their needs, and seeing the solutions in action is what fuels me. The Power of Curiosity: Staying curious keeps me engaged and open to new possibilities. It's not just about advancing deals but about understanding the deeper needs of our clients and how we can be part of their solution. Mastery Over Recognition: My aim is to excel in my craft, to be the best at understanding and fulfilling our clients' needs, and to be a trusted advisor rather than just a service provider. As I dive into this week, my goal is to immerse fully in the process, to appreciate the inputs as much as the outputs, and to remember that each interaction, each challenge, and each solution is a step towards growth—not just for UpRys, but for our clients and for me. How do you focus on your growth and the value you bring each day? #GrowthMindset #BusinessDevelopment #ValueCreation #UpRys #CustomerFirst

Ownership is one of Procore’s core values. We encourage everyone to take ownership of the work they do, which includes taking ownership for career advancement. Growing in your career can mean many things–from from skill development, title change, and pay increase to defining boundaries, time management and work-life balance, all of which can benefit when you advocate for yourself. We asked Madalen, a Customer Success Manager on our Sydney AUS team, what self-advocacy means to her. “Success is ours to own; self-advocacy can help us take ownership of our success. When I think about self-advocacy, this is what comes to mind: ✅ Self-awareness drives your success ✅ Keep asking questions ✅ Tell your story often The top two areas I recommend that you advocate for yourself are a clear career path and your needs as an employee.” Follow the link in our bio to read more about Madalen’s perspective on how self-advocacy can help your career. https://proco.re/3n2k8pe #LifeAtProcore

Customer Service Representative//Enhancing Customer Satisfaction//Providing top-notch assistance to your clients.
𝟺 𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚚𝚞𝚎 𝚜𝚔𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚌𝚊𝚗 𝚋𝚘𝚘𝚜𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚎𝚛 𝚘𝚛 𝚋𝚞𝚜𝚒𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚜𝚎 Presently, I engage with customers on a day-to-day basis, oh yes it's been an interesting journey so far as a Customer Service Representative, in the course of the job I have realised that there are certain skills anyone who desires success in a career or business should possess that can boost you in any field. Let's get right into it; 1️⃣Teamwork: The value of this skill is of great emphasis, you can't do life alone you need people to advance, it also works in business and career, teamwork is a major ingredient for the growth of any business or enterprise, through the help of people and that's why you need to build and have the right team to achieve your desire goal. 2️⃣Time Management: As a career professional or an entrepreneur, you must value time, knowing what to do per time, without the right value for time you end up achieving less each day. The rule should be you must be productive and not full of activity. 3️⃣Product Knowledge: You can't be valuable in any sector if you don't have the right knowledge of the product you sell, now a product is basically what you sell, in any business venture the question will be "What are you selling" that people need to buy, in the workplace, "what do we represent" that makes us different from our competitors, is the real question, two banks don't share the same objective even if they serve the same purpose, to save and withdraw money. There is something inside you, that the world is waiting for, unleash your potential by having the right information. With the right product knowledge, you become a great asset in any field. 4️⃣Problem Solver: Once you have the right information, use that to solve the right problem, the good part every solution has a problem, I read in my bible that for every problem Jesus came across, he always knew what to do, and he was a unique problem solver. Look within your sector and find a problem to solve. Have a remarkable week.🥂 #newweek #careerthought #growth #professionals

2wDo y'all have career development programs for everyone that includes them possibly leaving the company to fulfill their life dreams? If it's not possible internally, of course. I haven't seen many companies supporting the whole person so I'm just curious is all. Your post was top of my feed.
