We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the roof replacement for the entire Great Northern Paper Engineering & Research Building complex and Pilot Plant. With this recent project, all 50,000 square feet of the complex now boasts a brand-new roof and has been thoroughly abated of any hazardous materials. This vital work was made possible through the generous support of two EPA Brownfields Cleanup Grants of $500,000 each along with two EPA Brownfields Assessment grants. Additionally, we received crucial funding from Maine DECD's Brownfield Revolving Loan Fund, Maine DEP's 128-A Brownfield Cleanup program and Eastern Maine Development Corporation.
