3MTT & OUR PEOPLE: The Reality (Last Part) In my last post I started discussing about the 3MTT program, where I taked about "What is happening? and Why it is happening". Well, today I will complete the remaining 2 questions I promised to answer, which are: - What will happen? - What can be done? So lets see WHAT WILL HAPPEN ? If You read my previous post, You will see that I gave an overview of What is happening and I also Diagnosed the causes and reasons behind Why it's happening. The problem now is What will happen?, because looking at how the Companies that was given the prospective fellows to train are still looking for who to train them for them, we all know exactly what will happen. At the end, the fellows will graduate without learning anything, or they will be train by people who are not expert good at all in the field, or they are expert but they don't have enough time to train the fellows well. Another problem I'm seeing is that, these companies even if they get the experts that will train the fellows for them, they will never give them what NITDA paid them per fellow (they might take 70% and give 30%), thats another thing that will undermine the quality of what the fellows should be train on. It was an honor to have been invited by OLC Accelerate to join the conversation around “new models for scholarship and partnership.” Honor’s own Jeremy Dean, VP of Learning Design, led a panel with fellow industry experts Cristi Ford (of D2L) and Brian Verdine (of Yellowdig) to explore how to transform the often transactional relationship between academia and ed-tech, using research as one of many catalysts to do so.
