Following Novo Nordisk's announcement of Levemir insulin discontinuation in the U.S., we surveyed our database of individuals with diabetes to gauge interest in transitioning from MDI to insulin pumps. Here are the findings from our 24-hour pulse survey:
- 21% are considering switching to insulin pumps
- 68% prefer switching to another long-acting insulin
And for more context, here are some of the written responses we collected:
"I want to talk to my doctor before deciding."
"I just started taking insulin, I am unsure that my insurance would cover a pump. Otherwise, I would use a pump."
"I will switch to a different brand just in case I don't have enough pump supplies."
"I was happy with my regimen. But after so many years, I'm wondering
if this is the time to try either Tandem or Omnipod instead (it's hard to decide which)."
This year, our team dove deep into GLP-1 RA trends, including why patients start, stop, and switch GLP-1 and SGLT2-I treatments. We compiled all of our findings into a comprehensive report that we are offering FREE for a limited time. Download the full report here: https://lnkd.in/eRPYVXFF
I am SO excited for this! I can’t wait to switch from my current pump!
