Agreed. Not only does this post reinforce proper representation of opportunities for high quality leadership hires, but an implied focus and commitment on the requisitioning process. All too often job postings are dated / not truly representative of the goals and needs of the hiring executive. We get too focused on getting ‘something’ out there. I also interpret the messaging to say that matching ‘fit’ and culture is a large part of this process. I believe we need to challenge ourselves with overcoming ‘matching’ senior leadership candidates credentials line-by-line against a detailed requisition. One of the benefits of experience is having excelled in situations one has not previously specifically come across.
