DO YOU KNOW WHY WORKING PROFESSIONALS WANT TO MIGRATE TO BANGALORE, PUNE OR SOMEWHERE? 👇 Recently, my friend had an unprofessional experience while applying for a position at XYZ Company in Bhubaneswar. After what seemed like a promising interview process, while waiting for the call, suddenly another HR person informed him that you could leave now with the shocking advice that "no call means rejection." No email notification, no explanation for the dropped technical round, just an awkward dismissal. This experience left him feeling frustrated and disrespected. Is this the standard for candidate treatment at XYZ Company? Such incidents highlight a crucial issue in today's job market: the lack of transparency and respectful communication during recruitment. As professionals, we invest time and effort in preparing for interviews, only to be met with silence or vague responses regarding our candidature status. To my fellow job seekers in Bhubaneswar and beyond, I urge you to hold employers accountable for their hiring practices. Yesterday evening, i got a call from the recruiter and discussion was like :- Recruiter: Are you currently searching for a job? Me: Not actively. Recruiter: Can I take just 5 minutes of your time to discuss something? Me: Ummm, sure, go ahead. Recruiter: I just looked at your profile on Naukri and saw that you have 4.8 years of experience in recruitment, is that correct? Me: Yes, that's correct. Recruiter: You were working in a non-IT profile for the past 6 months, right? (As per your CV) Me: That's correct. Recruiter: Do you have strong experience in Banking, BFSI, or IT domains? Me: Yes, around 4.3 years of experience. Recruiter: Are you based in Nagpur? And is your work currently from the office? Me: Yes. Recruiter: What is your notice period? Me: Officially 30 days, but for which company is the opening? Recruiter: It's for ABC. Are you interested? Please don't ignore this post, it's a genuine and humble request. I have been searching for jobs since months and any leads would be highly appreciated. Despite participating in numerous interviews, unfortunately, I haven't received any job offers even after clearing rounds. It seems that there are certain constrains or specific role requirements are causing the problem. #Opentowork can be and certainly one of the most financially and emotionally draining experiences since I am the sole bread earner, but I am #NotGivingUp easily. I am still #OpenForNewOpportunities.
