Hey friends - The Mushroom Meat Co. team has just heard some great news we we’d love to share with you. This year’s shortlist for the World #PlantBased #Innovation Awards has just been announced and we’re on the list not once, but 3 times!🚀 In the following categories: 1. Best Meat Alternative 🥩 - for our ‘Beefless Tips’ product prototype. An alternative to raw beef chunks. They cook up like meat yet are made with mushrooms and less than 10 familiar ingredients 2. Best Ingredient Innovation💡- for our ‘Flexible Ingredient Platform’ (FIP) the all natural approach that enables us to give whole #mushrooms and seeds the texture and flavor of beef + pork 3. #FoodService Initiative - for our food service strategy: ‘Versatile Alternatives to Raw Beef + Pork’ beginning on college and university campuses Last year we were also finalists in 3 categories and won 🥇’Best Meat Alternative’ for our Pulled ‘Pork’ prototype. Special thanks to Household & Commercial Products Association for recognizing Bona for two Innovation Awards -- Ingredients and Association Award. These awards honor companies within the household and commercial products industry for accomplishments in five product categories: Carbon Footprint, Circular Economy, End-User Communication, Ingredients, and Technology. Nominations for the Innovation Awards were open to formulators, manufacturers, and distributors of household and commercial products and related ingredients, packaging, and technologies. A panel of expert judges from HCPA’s Sustainability & Product Stewardship Council ranked the nominated products in each category to determine the winner. The Association Award winner was determined by votes from HCPA Annual Meeting attendees. An organic growth of 7.9%, an adjusted EBITDA of 19.1% and a profit of € 340 million are good figures considering the global economic conditions. As growth drivers served food, beverages, pet food, luxury perfumery and cosmetic care. Strategic outlook: Today, as an augmented flavors house we are combining Taste, Nutrition, Health and Sustainability and are thus offering a clear competitive advantage. In Scent & Care, we trust in our strong foundation for further profitable growth. Furthermore, we create synergies with a joint production platform through backward integration. As the EUIPO - European Union Intellectual Property Office recently posted “The share of green EU trade mark applications containing terms related with sustainable development already represents 15 % of all EUTM applications” (based on numbers from 2022). As fascinating as I find this from a trademark perspective, sustainability is so much more than a trademark topic.
