Conning Conundrum Syndrome (CCS)! - Symptoms: Unshakable loyalty, denial reflex, and the blame game shuffle. Victims insist they haven't been conned by Trump and Putin, despite overwhelming evidence that could make a blindfolded jury shout "Guilty!" And in the other corner, we have... Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS)! - Symptoms: Uncontrollable eye-rolling at the mention of Trump, spontaneous fits of fact-checking, and an intense urge to debunk every tweet. Accused sufferers vehemently oppose Trump, sometimes with a fervor that rivals a sports fan during the playoffs. CCS - "Conning Conundrum Syndrome" is like having a GPS that stubbornly refuses to recalibrate. You're headed for a cliff, but it keeps saying, "Turn right in 100 feet." You’re convinced the destination is glorious, but spoiler alert: it’s a steep drop into reality. TDS - "Trump Derangement Syndrome" is like having a highly sensitive radar that detects every single Trump-related blip, no matter how small. You’re hyper-aware of every move, comment, and typo, often resulting in high blood pressure and a sudden urge to tweet. Denial vs. Obsession - CCS: "No way, Trump’s perfect!" - TDS: "No way, Trump’s terrible!" Blame Game vs. Blame Flame - CCS: "What about those emails?" - TDS: "What about that tax return?" Loyalty vs. Paranoia - CCS: "Trump could do no wrong." - TDS: "Trump can do no right." The Hilarious Hypocrisy: - CCS sufferers are like fans at a magic show, utterly convinced that the magician’s tricks are real, while TDS sufferers are the skeptics yelling, "I see the wires!" - CCS Remedy: "Come on, admitting you've been conned isn't that bad. Think of it like realizing the magician pulls rabbits out of hats, not thin air." - TDS Remedy: "Hey, take a breath. Sometimes it’s okay to let a tweet pass by without a full investigation. Not every blip is a bombshell." In the grand scheme of things, both CCS and TDS could use a little bit of perspective, a dash of humor, and a lot less stress. After all, life’s too short to be stuck in a syndrome, right? So, whether you’re staunchly defending or constantly critiquing, remember to laugh along the way. Because in the end, we’re all just trying to navigate this crazy world, one conundrum at a time.

Remembrance Day parades have long been a cherished tradition, serving as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our armed forces. It is our duty to honour and respect this solemn occasion. While we acknowledge and respect the right to peaceful protest and freedom of expression, it's vital that we come together to ensure that the Remembrance Day parades are conducted with the reverence they deserve. This weekend, let us put our differences aside and unite to show our respect for those who have given so much for our country. The Remembrance Day parades are not just an opportunity to remember the past, but also a chance to express our gratitude to the men and women who continue to serve in our armed forces today. Their sacrifices and dedication to protecting our freedoms should never be overshadowed or disrupted by other causes, regardless of how important those causes may be. As we commemorate Remembrance Day, all I ask that other organisations, regardless of their mission or beliefs, show their respect for this sacred day by refraining from any actions that could disrupt or overshadow the Remembrance Day parades. This is not a call for silence but rather a plea for understanding and unity during this weekend. We believe that by coming together as a community and putting our differences aside for this short period, we can demonstrate that our nation can find common ground and respect for the sacrifices of our armed forces. Let us pay tribute to the fallen, honour the living heroes, and strengthen the bonds of our society in the process. This Remembrance Day, let us remember that our differences make our society vibrant and diverse, but there are moments when we must stand united to show our respect for the sacrifices made on our behalf. As we honour the memory of those who gave their all for our freedom, let us remember that unity and respect can be as powerful as any cause. The Four Personal Freedoms As we celebrate our 248th Independence Day on July 4th,  I want to encourage you to consider your personal freedoms — which you must choose and embrace if you are to be effective and happy. In his book 10X is Easier than 2X, Dan Sullivan makes the important point that you have four freedoms: 1. Freedom of Time by recognizing the value and quality of your time. You have focus/performance time; buffer time for practicing and organizing; and free/rejuvenation time. 2. Freedom of Money by appreciating the value and quality of your true wealth, which is qualitative and subjective. Money alone does not reflect your true wealth. 3. Freedom of Relationship with yourself and others. You have the possibility of forging healthy, valuable, deep and enduring relationships. 4. Freedom of Purpose builds on the first 3 freedoms and requires you to embrace the uniqueness that is you and pursue the purest expression of yourself. It means discovering your purpose for being and having a clear sense of your mission. Defining your purpose in every stage in life is of critical importance! How much freedom have you created for yourself? I hope you have an enjoyable and safe 4th of July!
