I am really hoping to see the ESG conversations that take place in conferences and boardrooms become a reality on more shelves, inside more hot food delis, more factories, workshops and in everyday life. I hope we can view these initiatives through the lens of opportunity rather than begrudging compliance. Once we see that there is proximate value in good, our incentives align with a less polluted, cleaner and ultimately an environmentally friendly world. I appreciate initiatives where presumably the recyclability takes place in the processing of waste, but also I note that recycling driven by or aided by customers is still an under-appreciated opportunity across the commercial landscape. The company that has done the best job to make recycling easier for me personally is Nestlé Nespresso SA. Perhaps there is also a lot to learn from their approach. I am interested in your thought about and approach to recycling and whether it is even a feature of your thought process at all?

How do we drive systemic change toward reducing waste and increasing recycling? The Alliance’s Jacob Duer and the Founder and CEO of the Recycling Partnership, Keefe Harrison discussed how both organizations bring stakeholders together from across the entire plastic value chain. For example, in Baltimore, The Recycling Partnership introduced an all-encompassing recycling program. Through strategic partnerships with the mayor's office, community groups, companies, and resin producers, the initiative set out to ensure that everyone in the community has consistent access to recycling solutions. Plastic resin donations were transformed into recycling carts, contributing to the program's cost-effectiveness. Did you know ⁉️ ✅The global recycling day 🌍♻️was first announced in 2015 but was not celebrated untill 2018. ✅It was proposed by Ranjit S . Baxi the president of the bureau of international recycling. ✅The date 18/03 coincidences with the 70th birthday of the bureau of international recycling. ✅How can you be a part of this: 1.Participating in proper waste management by using the appropriate bin for paper, plastic and food waste. 2.Re-using plastic bottles and aluminium cans 3.Upholding the ban on plastic bags. 4.
