Tobias Brinkmann’s Post

As this week is starting, I cannot believe I am already halfway done with my internship at Caterpillar. Starting in the Caterpillar Corporate Engineering Program straight after finishing my first year of college has allowed me to gain invaluable experience, develop a better understanding of the engineering field, and build strong professional relationships. I am currently working with the Liquid Filters Team in the Maintenance Components Division, collaborating with other engineers on testing and validation processes. This role has given me the opportunity to work closely with suppliers and enhance my skills in technical communication. Through the Young Professionals and the Women’s Initiative at CAT, I have had the chance to gain mentors who have guided me through the transition to the corporate world. Big shout out to Jessica Halder! These programs, alongside the internship program, have allowed me to meet people in various divisions at Cat, enabling me to learn and grow within the company. At this halfway point, I am excited to keep working on my projects and growing at Caterpillar!
