#UniversalUK - A look back at some great #set photos from the inspirational film "The Boys in the Boat". Chief lighting technician Julian White had all #lighting equipment and #power generation supplied by our UK Lighting & Rigging facility based in Elstree on the outskirts of London. The team also worked closely with #rigging gaffer Tommy Royal and best boy Nick Powell to ensure a smooth running project. Our team was proud to be a part of this wonderful film! 📸 by: Julian White #UniProductionServices #TheBoysintheBoat #lightingsupplier #generators #London #filmmaking

The RIALTO VENICE and VENICE 2 extension system means you can cut your camera in half to get close and personal with filming. In our 'Creators' Magazine issue, we dive into the making of Rialto - the key idea behind the design was size – but if you cut back on size, you must cut back on other benefits such as high frame rates. Rialto allows the cinematographer to be more reactive and shoot scenes more flexibly without sacrificing cinematic quality. Read more in the the issue: https://bit.ly/3OsyOZO

The Steadicam, invented by Garrett Brown in the 1970s, revolutionized film production by offering a novel solution for smooth camera movement. Before this invention, filmmakers relied on heavy equipment like dollies and tracks for stable shots, which was restrictive and cumbersome. The Steadicam's counterweighted system allowed for a free-floating camera, enabling more dynamic and fluid movement through various environments without the limitations of traditional setups. This innovation greatly expanded the creative possibilities for filmmakers, allowing for smooth shots in tight or uneven spaces. It was notably used in iconic films like "Rocky" (1976) for the famous stair-running scene, and in "The Shining" (1980), where it contributed to the film's eerie atmosphere with smooth tracking shots. #CleverstreetFilms #SteadicamRevolution #GarrettBrownInnovation #CinematicStabilization #FilmMakingEvolution #SmoothCinematography #CameraTechBreakthrough #DynamicFilming #CinemaTechHistory #SteadicamImpact #CreativeCinematography

My first legit attempt on making a stop motion film and my only stop motion project, and i went through the entire experience of making a doll for the film which is the anthro cat you just saw, as well the small mouse she was chasing in the film. The film was captured in frame by frame, using Canon 600D on ISO 800 and various AFs and shutter speeds (as you can see some depth in few shots) running through these captured frames in 12 frames per second, i tried making the cat look all dominant and big in these shots as much as possible.
