Are you a Recruiter in the 41% club? With so much talk of "What's going on in the market right now?" we asked you a question last week. We wanted to know, mid April, how are things compared to Quarter 1? To gain as accurate a view as possible, 3 of us from Ruella James - Recruitment to Recruitment - London Rec to Rec all ran the same poll Over 500 of you (502 to be exact!) participated in our poll (thank you 😍 !!) 41% of you saw an Improving picture 🤸♀️ 31% of you feel it's been Pretty much the same 🙆♂️ 26% of you say it's Worse 🤦♀️ 2% of you felt something else 🤔 It's not just a "depends what market you're in" thing. We've seen people in the same markets, same location - and probably very similar clients and candidate base with really different results. If you're in the 41% club - would you mind sharing for the other 59% what you've done that you think is making a difference? 🙏

The results are in! Thank you to everyone who participated in our poll last week...but what was the correct answer? We asked you to guess what makes job seekers the MOST excited about applying to a job post. Here were the options: A. Compensation range listed B. Workplace location C. The company's reputation/brand D. Benefits and perks offered by the company 🥁 And the correct answer is...D. Benefits and perks offered by the company! It's true! Based on our recent Applicant Expectations Report, benefits and perks scored the highest by 10% with compensation range following in second place. I’d be surprised if this doesn’t already exist in a rudimentary form… 😬 What’s scary is that a lot of information seen in the example below exists somewhere now. It’d be easy to scrape content — social, financial, etc. — and have AI paint a rough picture to influence decision makers for or against potentials. CRM platforms already do this today to inform next steps. Pairing business data and personal together can create unsavory outcomes. 🤔 Would you hire someone if you knew that the candidate was financially irresponsible, a deadbeat parent, or a narcissist? Would you be able to separate the good-for-the-company professional from the borderline-terrible person when making your decision once you already know certain information? 👉 A couple of things here: 1) We’ve traded privacy for incentives 2) Security is a low priority to ship an MVP 3) Humans are biased 4) Data already exists to paint a specific picture I’ll admit that it’d be hard for me to ignore information once I know it; however, I try to lead with curiosity to understand why something is first before making a decision. #ai #human #bias

The internet has revolutionized the way buyers and sellers, employers and job seekers interact with each other, allowing for a closer connection than ever before. This virtual job market has made it easier for employers to source for talent and for job seekers to find a job that suits them. The data that is generated from this job market consists of job posts, along with useful information such as in-demand positions, salary information, job hotspots in terms of locations and more. The analysis of this data, however, can provide even more knowledge that can benefit individuals, companies, and market researchers alike. https://bit.ly/3YnAwhy #jobmarketdata #talentintelligence #workforcemanagement
