CNN Underscored spoke with several industry leaders, including Verano’s Chief Investment Officer, @Aaron Miles, about what you should know before you buy. “This is a good time to invest in anticipation of this future environment. When cannabis is rescheduled and no longer subject to the 280E tax code, cannabis operators will have significantly greater free cash flow — roughly $80 million in Verano’s case — to reinvest in the business and the communities we serve.” - Aaron Miles, Verano CIO Check out the full article here: https://cnn.it/3W5ghqC

"Cannabis Cultivation Enthusiast | Author of [Cannabis Grow Essentials for the "Do It Yourself" Citizen] | I spend my time helping Growers Maximize Yield & Quality"
✨️ I helped a friend put in 2 applications for social equity, here's what that was like... Big time companies like Copperstate would put out ads that they will take care of your $5000 application fee if they took over the rights to the social equity card if the application won. 💀 You would still get to be a part of the operation 👏 buuut essentially you get no say in what happens, you only get to benefit from them operating under the license that you're part owner of. 😑 So, in the end, since nobody that would meet the qualifications for the license would typically have the $5000 to just throw a away in a gamble, 🎲 they felt obligated to pair up with these offers from the big time companies. I ended up finding an investor that offered a similar deal but with a little more authority in terms of the agreement for the license. 🤷♂️ In general, my friend had to jump through many hoops 🏀 just to get the application in, and still, he wouldn't have been able to submit it because he didn't have the $10,000 💸 to invest (as they allowed each person that can qualify, put in a maximum of 2 applications,) so my friend had 2 shots to make it, unfortunately it did not go through for us. In the end, my friend is still very grateful for me for helping him get his record expunged, 🙏 which was one of the hoops, and I figured it's easier to help my friend through the process this way because it's better to have a shot at something great vs not having anything at all. 💯 It's important that other states learn from the giant mess that was made here. 🛑 I believe that the health department could have definitely seen this coming. 😬 #socialequity #letsnotrepeatthatmistake #cannabis #weed #fyp #foryou #richgetricher #cannabiscommunity #foryoupage #fypシ #fypシviral
