Unpopular sentiment - I love my job 😍. In fact, qualitative research is more than just a job to me - it’s a calling 😇 But within all that love, there are a lot of frustrations! Our industry is not growing, and that’s mainly because there is very little cohesion. I mean…how often do we complain about LSMs being outdated, and yet no one is doing anything about it 🤷🏾♀️? Our screening questionnaires are completely outdated, and no longer relevant to the current market (e.g. which option would a non-binary person tick under gender???) 🤯! Don’t even get me started on the impact technology has had on our daily bread 👩🏾💻😵💫 And yet we want to continue as if it’s business as usual?? Today, I attended an insightful webinar on the Cochrane Qualitative Methodological Limitations Tool (CAMELOT) led by Heather Menzies Munthe-Kaas. The session explored the tool's development, application, and its role in enhancing the relevance of systematic review findings. CAMELOT is a groundbreaking tool designed to address methodological limitations in qualitative research. During the webinar, we had the opportunity to look into its development process and explore a practical example of how it can be effectively applied.
