ABC of real estate: sharing space (7) CONS OF SHARED SPACES. Confidentiality and privacy concerns. At times in these offices, you may be surrounded by many of other people in a large room. It can get noisy and unpredictable. You may also have to move to a lateral space to accommodate larger teams. If your company has private and sensitive information, it isn’t the best area to be in the mix. It will be tough to find a secluded spot most of the time. Important: If you need to have privacy because of your data and outgoing communications, that’s something you can tell the owner or management, but it may not be possible or be against their policies.
