There are a lot of challenges that come with being a creator. And sometimes this industry can feel so competitive and lonely. Other creators aren’t always open about the challenges they face and the questions they have, making you feel like you’re the only one struggling. But I’m here to tell you that you are not alone in your struggles. Every creator deals with them. And if we talk about the struggles we’re facing as creators, we can help each other avoid being scammed or underpaid. There’s room for all of us online, so we should be helping each other through these struggles we’re all facing. Today, we’re here with Ayomi Samaraweera, the founder and CEO of Canopy, a dedicated community for Creators to crowdsource information to accelerate their careers and spill the tea in a safe space. She worked for three years in the Creator Economy at TikTok and Jellysmack, then became a creator herself, so she is an expert in the challenges that creators face everyday. She found that the industry was plagued with information asymmetry, so she created a solution - Canopy. Today, we’re diving into some of the struggles that every creator faces as they build their business. We’re giving you the scoop on exactly how to overcome these challenges. #contentcreator #entrepreneurlife #creatoreconomy

Just saw that I somehow arrived at 1180 followers, insane. So i'm going to take an opportunity to re-introduce myself. I'm Ryan, I craft stories for a living. Being clueless at 24, changed my life forever. At 24 I was faced with a nasty truth, that I lacked the talent to make my dream of becoming a full-time DJ, a reality. In giving up on that dream but also not wanting to follow the traditional path, I felt more lost than ever. Here is what happened next: 2020-2021: Founded The Side Project. A platform for young Dj’s & producers to learn about personal branding. It failed and I wanted to know why. 2021-2022: Followed a Master in Content & Media Strategy to understand why company 1 failed. 2022-2023: Founded The Quarter Life Crisis podcast to figure out what the hell I did then want to do with my life. Spoke to some of the biggest creators and entrepreneurs out there. Posted every day for over 1 and half years. Learned a shit ton about creating & editing content. 2023-present: Launched "The Quarter", a content conception agency specializing in crafting engaging YouTube shows. Today, I work together with elite creators and entrepreneurs to produce stories that are worth watching. It's been a rough road and I have felt lost more times than i'm willing to admit. Theres still a long way to go but for the first time in my life I look forward and more importantly feel certain that whatever the future will brings, its going to be 1 hell of a fun ride. #contentmarketingstrategy #contentediting #contentstrategy

Ten years ago, I had a YouTube channel. It began as a fun little creative outlet, a sandbox for me and my friends to play in -- but around 2014 a few of our videos began to rack up some pretty substantial views. Rather than go all in on making more videos and growing the channel and the community, I instead decided to 'cash in' on the success and take a job writing for Jimmy Kimmel Live out in LA. Who wouldn't, right? But the thing is... I ended up hating that job. We had a great thing going in New York, exploring our wildest creative ideas and posting whatever we wanted. Now I was writing for someone else, and finding that my brand of ideas and humor were often totally wrong for the show I now worked for. By the time I left, I was questioning whether I even wanted to keep writing at all. If Patreon had existed back when I was making videos, I might not have taken that job in the first place. I might have had a path forward where I could make a real living doing my own thing. Heck, I might still be a YouTuber today. That's exactly why I'm so proud to work at Patreon. To give the next crop of creators a chance to make it on their own, without having to 'cash in' their success to go create for someone else like I did. And that's why I'm even prouder of this week's launch: a new app, new features, and a completely new brand, all designed to give creators even more control over their art and their futures. Oh, and the best part? I did a TON of writing for this new launch: the new homepage, the new app store copy, email journeys being sent to tens of millions of creators and fans, blog posts detailing our rebrand and everything that comes along with it, social media threads, marketing assets, the whole doodlydoo. And ALL of it was in a voice that I was empowered to shape and own. Go take the new Patreon out for a spin -- I think you're gonna love it.

Culture coach, progress maker, and Founder of Anthem | x5 start-up launches | Helping brands discover their collective power (read my bio, that's where the good stuff is**)
😶🌫️ Most creators are getting LOST in the latest tactics. 🛟 Keeping things simple can save them. It might just save you. Everyday I see slick posts from people promoting the next tactic to try so you can blow up your social following. And the thing is... most of them work. For a few people. Some of the time. Especially when you have time to commit, learn, experiment, and fail. That's not most people. It's probably not you. These guru-types, god love 'em, really want to add value. I appreciate that. But often they are sending people on a wild goose chase, that feasts on time, that drains energy, and doesn't yield meaningful results. Why? Because by the time you or I hear about the latest trick, everyone else is already trying the same thing. So, what works? Is a simple formula. It's what makes you distinctive... plus simplicity... on repeat. It may take time. But you'll find your tribe. You'll find your customers. It's what Dain Walker, Founder of rivyl , will be discussing on Strategy Shorts on Thursday. He's built a global brand around this simple idea. It's one that anyone can master and he'll show you how. Make sure you follow me, Dan Dowman, to catch the episode on release. But just to land the point... Daniel Murray and Mark P. Jung also champion keeping it consistent, repeatable and crystal clear. Whilst Dain's success has come through Instagram, Daniel and Mark have used LinkedIn to grow massively successful companies by committing to this school of thought. 👉 FYI: They've also been on the show. 🤝 Drop a comment or a DM and I'll send you the link Here's to progress 🚀 #marketing #personalbrand #brandstrategy #growthstrategy

Creator Subscription Operator | Leading creator partnerships at Supercast while we unlock millions in recurring revenue for our partners. Running ultras in my spare time. ✌️⛰️
Co-hosts can make or break your growth as a creator. 📈 I just did an analysis comparing one of the fastest growing subscriptions I've ever seen (9x revenue growth in ~12 months). But the last three months of their growth have been particularly explosive. The reason? Adding a co-host with a large audience. The chemistry on the show changed as a result and their audience LOVES it (we're talking over 3x more views and downloads as a result). I think this is the future of large entertainment podcasts for creators who want to build multi-million dollar businesses around them. Founding creator is a term I've heard used when talking about startups and the capacity of the founding team to hit critical velocity through their organic distribution. The same thing is true for existing creators and their content businesses. If you haven't hit the scale or accelerating growth that you're aiming for - why not explore partnering with another creator that can broaden your audience appeal while bringing increased organic distribution?

Helping CEOs sign gaming clients on LinkedIn | Ghostwriter for 5 Founders, Podcast Host & Spreader of Good Vibes, Speaker 🎤
My family home = Monica's apartment. You never know whose gonna walk through that door: Cousins. Brothers Family Friends Gaming Friends LinkedIn Friends. Sandwich Delivery Drivers. There are on average 7 people in the house at all times. When I moved back home to Cyprus in December. I wanted to recreate this feeling online. I started doing e-coffees with many people here. This evolved into value trades with creators. Which evolved to me joining 5 paid cohorts. (A cohort is recurring group calls with workshops) Some come with courses. Some are boot camps. Some are standalone Well, you are looking at 5 of the biggest creators. I somehow convinced them (yep even Luke) To spend 2 hours on a LinkedIn Live 1 hour Mastermind. 1 hour Q&A Wed 17th July: https://lnkd.in/e7f-NPwE Here is how I did it. 1) E-coffees with peers. Give as much value as possible. 2) Always ask: Who would benefit from a convo with me? 3) Joined 5 communities (Paid = active members) 4) ASK QUESTIONS (so many stay silent it is crazy) 5) Add value to the rest of the group (share wins) 6) Give detailed feedback to the creator (loom) 7) Invite them to your birthday party (ty J + M) 8) Invite them to join your podcast (ty Lara) 9) Make a testimonial post without asking 10) Give, Give, Give. (sometimes pester) When it came time to invite them: 🤖 "If you buy me steak" 🍉 "LET'S GOOOO" 🟣 "Count me in" ✍️ "Sign me up" 💅 "When!!?" So TLDR 👇 I got 5 of the biggest creators on the platform. To give us all the biggest LinkedIn event ever. 💅 Personal Branding 🤖 Writing with AI 🍉Monetization ✍️ Copywriting 🟣 PB Agency (🐊I might say something smart who knows.) Anywho. If you missed the announcement. 1) Like this post. 2) Register: https://lnkd.in/e7f-NPwE pls & ty - Harry 'croc' Phokou p.s this is what happens when I write last at night

🚦Here's a behind-the-scenes look at Episode Six from my first YouTube Series, "The Beginning". 🎞️In this uncut video, I bring my audience into a categorized video synopsis about the various categories of content that l'd be producing and all-the-between work involved during setup. • It's mostly animated and story driven to navigate my viewers through a collage of what's the come. • This was the first video that I revealed the premise of my patent project, "Boston's Digital Arena." • It's the first time that I initiated community features with content, officially starting the great 'Tech Wars', that our audience can watch or be involved. A large reason that I created an authentic introductory campaign to start, was my understanding on marketing. Without building trust, no amount of marketing or advertising would make a difference. The value takeaway from the video, would be to understand that a supportive community on social outweighs most things that people are offering. Through my content, the audience is given options song-the-journey to participate, be involved or learn. From my experience, most people won't bother supporting, interacting or bothering until enough people do. This introduction-point allows me to put the spotlight on the few that do, to incentivize others to join. A true belief of mine has been to impact people to believe in themselves. I'm constantly drawing inspiration and motivation from people ahead of me or that have done amazing work in the space. 🚀Follow Digital Business Traffic for more valuetainment and business options. #Entrepreneur #Business #CreativeMediaAgency #DigitalBusinessTraffic
