April in Review

As the first month of Q2 comes to a close, Leap Brands is continuing to make impressive business strides. This year has already challenged us in a way that furthers our growth and April has been no different. We have had a number of opportunities, some difficult to navigate, but our guys have risen to the occasion. Every. Single. Time. Our goals are well within reach, but not without consistent hard work and dedication. With Q2 well underway, Leap is actively placing candidates, exceeding client expectations and bettering the executive recruitment landscape.

Company Culture

The weather in New Jersey has officially started to shift towards warmer days and it has had an incredible impact on our company culture. Since the sun came back out, we have been able to take walks during our lunch hour, shoot some hoops in the parking lot and golf with some of our awesome clients. The warmer weather has given us the opportunity to bond with each other outside of the business. Genuine workplace relationships are what leads a company to success. Leap makes it a priority to ensure that our employees want to come to work everyday. Enjoying the company of your coworkers makes it that much easier to get the job done.

During the month of April, we had a few things to celebrate. Leap Brands offers a unique and dynamic internship experience that we have designed to inspire the next generation of professionals. That being said, we officially welcomed a new class of interns to join our team this summer. We are very excited to have them in the office to begin their professional careers with Leap. Also this month, our CEO, Chris Wunder brought his 4 year old son into the office to spend the day with our team. He spent time in our office getting to know us and what it is his dad does for work. We played games, laughed and learned alot about entertaining a child. We are already looking forward to his next visit. And finally, we celebrated our CEO, Chris Wunder’s birthday. He leads our team with charisma and confidence that undoubtedly inspires.

Overall, Leap Brands is incredibly lucky to share a company culture that genuinely enhances our relationships with one another. With summer just around the corner, our team is in an incredible position to exceed expectations for the remainder of Q2.

April's Job Search Tip

With the usage of artificial intelligence increasing every day. It is important to understand how that could affect your job search. Generally speaking, when you apply for a position, it is kept within an applicant tracking system. A human then needs to go in and actually read the application before making the decision on an application. With all the other things a human resources department manages, this is a time consuming task. The most important thing to remember is that patience is likely what will land you the job. Understanding that it will take time for someone to thoroughly assess the application, makes the waiting period less stressful. On average, it takes three to six months for someone to complete a job search. It could be a longer period of time, but hopefully it's shorter. When it comes to a career, artificial intelligence has yet to take over the entire process. Be patient and happy job hunting!
