Did Aon Just Sue Marsh For A Cyberattack?

On October 5, 2017, Aon Consulting filed an action in the Northern District of Illinois claiming that a Marsh & McLennon subsidiary improperly accessed the website of an AoN subsidiary and misappropriated trade secrets. Marsh is alleged to have misused the user name and password of a customer of Aon to download a valuable survey report and use the report for Marsh's competing service. Aon alleges that Marsh did not have authorization to access Aon's password-protected website. These are serious allegations. This may be a good opportunity for a skilled mediator with cyber and forensics skills to help resolve a difficult matter between competitors.
