On the occasion of the 2024 World Perfumery Congress, we were pleased to welcome clients and collaborators at the Symrise Fine Fragrance Suite to dive into the irreverent spirit of this new chapter. Symrise Fine Fragrance unveiled the avant-gardist olfactory world of Iconoclast Series and shed light on the Grassois legend Lautier 1795 and the captive brand Holzminden Lab. The Symrise Fine Fragrance team also joined a series of round tables and panels to discuss the future of AI in perfumery and the seminal invention of vanillin, which celebrates its 150th anniversary this year. The entire fragrance industry has its sights on Geneva for the 2024 World Perfumery Congress. From June 25th to 27th, Symrise Fine Fragrance will be welcoming clients and collaborators at the Symrise Fine Fragrance Suite at the WPC, a veritable lieu de vie where they will be immersed in the irreverent essence of the House and the inspirations behind this new and exciting chapter. Senior Perfumer Pierre Constantin Gueros will join a round table discussion exploring the role of AI in fragrance from a perfumer’s point of view. Additionally, VP Senior Perfumer, Alienor Massenet, and VP Global Marketing Fine Fragrance, Sacha Garel will take part in the Perfumers & Research Conference: 150 Years of Vanillin conference. The WPC will also serve as an occasion showcase in the pioneering work of Lautier 1795, the iconic French naturals house as well as Holzminden Lab, which will also be launching two new captives FROSTWOOD™ and AMBRONOVA™ at the congress. The WPC will also mark the debut of Symrise Fine Fragrance’s Iconoclast Series, an avant-garde olfactive world of where innovation collides with fearless creativity in the pursuit of tomorrow's perfume icons.

A graduate of ISIPCA mentored by industry legends, including #MasterPerfumers Annick Menardo and Maurice Roucel, at only 32 years old Suzy brings a wealth of experience and an impressive track record of fragrances created for HUGO BOSS, Kenzo, D'ORSAY Parfums, and now the highly anticipated 'Acne Studio par Frederic Malle'. Her contagious passion and sensibility towards natural perfumery ingredients drew Suzy to catch the attention of Frédéric Malle, who was looking into supporting new generations of perfumers through his Maison. ''I feel like we are very lucky as a team of perfumers at Symrise AG- it allows younger perfumers to work on really big briefs, giving us so many opportunities to work on projects that normally age peers don’t have,'' shared Suzy with us. About the highly anticipated launch for Frédéric Malle, Suzy shared insights into the creative process, saying, ''I remember the very first accord I presented to Frédéric was a combination of around ten ingredients- something super short, almost rough, built around a vision I had for an aldehyde scent you often have in fabric softeners - something reassuring in a way. Frédéric loved the idea, and it immediately reminded him and Jonny of the very ethereal and bright light of Scandinavia.''
