Biotech Professional | Pediatric Healthcare Provider
After three long years, I'm thrilled to have graduated from the University of California, San Francisco within the pediatric nurse practitioner specialty program.
It’s moments like these that allow for reflection and gratitude to those who provided support throughout this journey.
👨🏻🍼 I’m grateful for the quality of education, time, and safety of UCSF School of Nursing while we learned to be nurses and pediatric providers in the midst of a pandemic. Thank you to the incredible professors, clinical instructors, clinical preceptors, administration, and mentors. I’m proud to have graduated with a 4.0 because of their support, guidance, and encouragement.
✊🏼 Thank you to University of California, San Francisco for incorporating the values of social justice and health equity into every class. I can confidently say that I’ve become a provider that is well-versed in evidenced-based care, as well as the social determinants needed to promote justice and equity for all communities.
🧬 I’m thankful for professional leaders that believed in me and my abilities while juggling meaningful work during a demanding graduate program. Specifically, thank you to John Makowski and Elaine Kernbauer for engaging my biotechnology experience and talents through consulting opportunities while in the program.
👨🏻🤝👨🏽 I’m indebted to my partner, friends, and family for their ongoing love, support, and patience while I learned how to be the best provider to children and their families.
👨🏻⚕️Lastly, I’m so appreciative for the hundreds of children and families over the nearly 1,500 clinical hours that allowed me into their lives to care for them and learn from them. I’m honored to have been a part of their healthcare team.
Congratulations to the Class of 2024 🎉 We are proud of you! 🎓
A story and more photos from today’s Commencement will be published later this week.
