💪 Motivated and Hardworking. Sonny shares these characteristics with many of our Vivistim users. 3 1/2 years post-stroke, Sonny is motivated to get back to his active lifestyle and do the things that matter most to him. And as far as hardworking....in addition to his 90-minute Vivistim Therapy sessions 3 times a week for 6 weeks, Sonny incorporates Magnet sessions at the gym (3 times a week) and at home (daily) as part of his Vivistim Home Exercise Plan. 📽️: Sonny G., ischemic stroke survivor and Vivistim user To learn more about Vivistim and review safety information, visit https://qrcodes.pro/HV3OzU.

“We’re using Vivistim to rewire the neural pathways from Matt’s brain to his arm, hand and fingers. When we trigger the nerve, we exponentially enhance neuroplasticity. Each time we meet, we notice subtle functionality changes, which are the building blocks to improve his finger dexterity.” - Michelle Darling, Atlantic Health System occupational therapist Learn more about Vivistim and review safety information: https://qrcodes.pro/HV3OzU.

Brain Basics: How Paired VNS Therapy Helps Restore Function Here's how an Occupational Therapist explains how Paired VNS Therapy can help ischemic stroke survivors regain 2-3 times more hand and arm function than rehabilitation therapy alone: ⚪ Vivistim device is implanted in chest during an outpatient procedure. ⚪ Once cleared after surgery, the stroke survivor begins occupational or physical therapy ⚪ During therapy sessions, the Vivistim-trained therapist will press a button so that the implant will send a gentle pulse to the vagus nerve ⚪ The vagus nerve releases neurotransmitters in the brain ⚪ The neurotransmitters make the brain environment ready for learning ⚪ Vivistim can be activated at home during daily activities of learning through Magnet Sessions To learn more and review safety information, click here: https://bit.ly/3IMFM9l
