A few crucial elements
+ a world of possibility

Some folks live by “story beats,” and some fly by the seat of their pants. Most can agree that stories are made up of a few crucial elements mixed with the world of possibility that is your imagination. The three elements of storytelling I focus on are design, facilitation, and distribution — a more detailed imagining of what we more commonly refer to as the beginning, middle, and end.

DESIGN

Every story starts with design. Rolling out a marketing campaign? Figuring out how your content program should run? Planning a content series? Even deciding not to plan is a design choice.

FACILITATE

Stories don’t come out of nowhere — we must facilitate their creation. Once you decide the depth and breadth of the story you want to tell, you have to create, iterate, and polish until you reach a finished product you’re excited to share.

DISTRIBUTE

Distribution is perhaps the most important part of storytelling. If writing stories brings them to life, distributing them far and wide gives them a legacy.

Let’s tell

your story.

How to get started

  • Using the link provided, schedule a consult call with me. Each 90-minute consult call is $175.

  • I’ll gather some information before your call, but we’ll really get into the nuts and bolts during the call. By the end of our time together, we will have co-created a plan to help you move forward.

  • After the call, I’ll create a document outlining the custom, detailed action plan we discussed on the call and provide additional resources to help you solve it.

If you decide to hire me for work following a consult call, the cost of the call will be deducted from the total proposed investment.

  • Micah has this really perfect combo of can-do attitude, thoughtfulness, and being grounded in reality. Hearing her talk about different marketing ideas really inspired me to think more outside of the box.

  • “Micah is not just a punctuation pusher. She looks at something, digs deeper, then asks you to dig deeper with quality questions in a way that doesn't feel like it's a challenge. It always feels collaborative and genuine, not like ’I'm challenging your experience or your thoughts or your beliefs’ — unless she explicitly says ‘this is a challenge.’ But even then, it's not judgmental. It's ‘I am challenging you in a way that's going to expand your thinking, not shrink it.’ And that's hella valuable.”

  • “Micah is a genuinely thoughtful person and a master at her craft, which is very underrated and allows her to see copy and content in a way that only a master would be able to see. That allows her to ask the right questions and develop copy that works, not just for the thing that you are building, but across your business. And it just makes for a very well-rounded experience.”

  • Micah is, without hesitation, one of my top 3 go-to writers for Allcot Media. I just love the way her mind works, always thinking outside the box when it comes to content strategy, sharing ideas, and essentially – delivering above and beyond expectations. Prompt, efficient, detail-oriented and creative, she’s what many companies look for in a writer or content strategist and never find. Thank you, Micah, for being my go-to in so many situations.

Stories live because we live. "The ones that last", according to Neil Gaiman, outcompete other stories by changing over time. They make it from medium to medium—from oral to written to film and beyond. They lose uninteresting elements but hold on to the most compelling bits or even add some."
