July 14: RHP exits early from relief outing with right shoulder soreness
The right-handed hurler replaced opener Jared Shuster with two outs in the third and recorded the final out during what was scheduled as a bullpen day on Sunday in the team's first-half finale against the Pirates. He threw one pitch out of the zone to Jack Suwinski to start the third and signaled for the training staff. Soroka left with right shoulder soreness and will undergo further evaluations, per the White Sox. Chad Kuhl replaced Soroka.

10-DAY/15-DAY INJURED LIST

RHP (right elbow inflammation, neck stiffness)
Expected return:
After the All-Star break
Clevinger made two rehab starts with Triple-A Charlotte, but was recalled from his rehab assignment on June 26 with neck stiffness. Clevinger was set to make a rehab start for Charlotte on July 6, with a focus on returning to the White Sox the following week, but the game was rained out. Clevinger struck out five over 2 2/3 innings during an rehab start for Charlotte on July 9.

The right-hander threw a bullpen on July 12 in Chicago, and then will throw again for Charlotte on July 14. The team will see how he recovers on July 15 and go from there.

"We’re still a ways away from him taking the ball and going six innings," said manager Pedro Grifol. "But that doesn’t mean that we can’t use him in another way, and kind of build him up here as we move forward. The [All-Star] break's coming now, so we’ve got some time. We’re going to keep him going and keep building him, and we’ll see where we go from there." (Last updated: July 12)

60-DAY INJURED LIST

Expected return: End of July
Moncada finished 4-for-7 with two RBIs and a walk during his first two rehab games for the Arizona Complex League White Sox, starting as the designated hitter on July 9 and at third base on July 11.

Moncada was running to first on a grounder on April 9 when he doubled over in pain, and had to be helped off the field. He was placed on the IL the next day. (Last updated: July 12)
