Working in layers allows you to soften, then come back with more definition. So while I don't use a mop brush very often, in certain instances it is PERFECT. The key to using a mop is restraint, otherwise it's really easy to overblend. And that's bad! (BTW, these are the best mop brushes I've ever used.)
