Entrance architecture

Water, light, and architecture work in harmony in this sales center by Kris Lin International Design for Dowell Real Estate, a real estate developer in Wuhan, China. At first glance, the entrance could be mistaken for one to a contemporary religious or cultural institution. The grand arrival sequence starts with a large reflecting pool, upon which the 1,700-square-foot building behind appears to float.

The all white rooms of the Annso Hill Hotel in Tengchong City, China, are covered with a traditional tilled roof, which is broken by a zigzagging entrance.

The Gymnasium Neubiberg in the Munich area consists of two building blocks, between which there is an elongated entrance and school courtyard. The school's main entrance is located at the end point of this courtyard. The extension building planned by the Munich-based Peck.Daam architects acts as a "head building" and provides the prelude to this spatial structuring.
