A colourful exhibition at the Garden Museum suggests that Cedric Morris was as devoted to cultivating flowers as he was to painting them, writes Harriet Baker

Sir Cedric Morris. English artist Cedric Lockwood Morris (1889-1892) loved the iris above all flowers, and bred many of his own in his garden at Benton End, near Hadleigh in Suffolk. A few of these 'Benton' irises in subtle twilight colours have survived or recently been rediscovered.
