MEDIUM: Wool yarn, wool fabric strips, wool roving PROCESS: Rug hooking(wool fabric strips), needle felting (wool roving), punch needle (yarn) TITLE: "Moonrise Textures" SIZE: 25 x 31" FRAME: Maple FOUNDATION CLOTH: bleached primitive linen (a natural / light colored fabric which is left visible around the perimeter creating a matte between the fiber art piece and the frame). PROCESS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/yCFNlWyXrNg ABOUT: This wall hanging combines three different fiber art techniques and 3 different wool formats, creating a textural one-of-a-kind piece. The loops of wool fabric strips are hooked using rug hooking techniques, the multi-directional wool loops are done with a punch needle, and the dyed wool roving is needle felted by hand. All three material types compliment each other on the fabric foundation cloth. The fabric is stretched over wooden canvas stretcher bars, framed in wood, and is ready to hang on the wall.
