Planty Park - You must walk the chestnut-lined strip of gardens, known as Planty, that circles the city alongside the old walls. It's a lovely walk all year round and a great way to see local history and people alike.

Stara Zajezdnia - Krakow’s grandest beer hall is also one of its most popular; you may have to stand in line at the city’s longest bar to get your hands on a glass of home-brewed honey beer but the taste will be worth it. This is also the place for sampling good-old Polish home cooking, as Stara Zajezdnia cooks up dishes such as pork schnitzel and pierogi (dumplings stuffed with meat or cheese) at a cracking price.

Lovekrove - is an almost unbearably trendy burger joint for hungry hipsters. Choose from a dozen burgers (£3.20-£6), and squeeze between the brightly coloured furnishings, the chunky spectacles and those angular hair-dos-and-don'ts.

Cloth Hall Market - Your best and easiest bet for gifts in Kraków. Essentially the world's oldest shopping mall, inside this architectural marvel in the middle of the market square you'll find dozens of stalls selling amber jewellery, lacework, cloth handicrafts, wood carvings, sheepskin rugs and all sorts of Polish souvenirs and trinkets at prices that are actually more reasonable than you'd anticipate.

Kazimierz, Krakow, Poland The heart of Jewish Krakow, is now a thriving district, a mixture of cultural festivals, café culture, antique shops, art galleries, restaurants and bars. It was originally established in 1335 and named after its founder, King Kazimierz Wielki (Casimir the Great), who intended it to rival the established city of Krakow. It remains one of the most culturally significant Jewish areas in the world. During the war the Nazis did all they could to destroy and ruin Kazimierz.

Finka Review | Explore Krakow Like A Local
Finka - Kazimierz A different vibe to the regular Kazimierz bars, Finka offers a more modern and colorful option to the others on Plac Nowy. In the summertime have a seat outside and people watch, in the winter you can enjoy the fireplace upstairs.
