OMAHA, Neb. — Tennessee and Texas A&M are playing Monday night for college baseball’s national championship at the College World Series inside Charles Schwab Stadium Omaha.

While awaiting the 7:09 Eastern first pitch on ESPN, here are some numbers regarding the top-seeded Volunteers:

— National championships Tennessee has won in college baseball, which matches the total of Texas A&M.

.121 — Tennessee’s batting average (4-for-33) with runners in scoring position through the first two championship series games against the Aggies.

— Occasions this season in which the Vols lost consecutive games. They lost back-to-back contests at Alabama in mid March and avoided a repeat with Sunday’s 4-1 triumph over the Aggies that followed Saturday night’s 9-5 loss.

— Tennessee players who have hit 20 or more home runs this season, setting an NCAA record. Christian Moore leads the way with 33, and he is followed by Billy Amick (23), Dylan Dreiling (22), Blake Burke (20) and Kavares Tears (20).

6 — Home runs that the Vols need tonight to match LSU’s single-season NCAA record. The 1997 Tigers, who won that season’s national title, hit 188.

15 — Years since Tennessee has won a national championship in any sport, with the last being the 2009 women’s indoor track & field crown.

18 — Successful pickoff attempts by the Vols this season, with seven of those coming from throws behind the plate.

19 — Runs that the Vols have scored with two outs at the College World Series. They have scored 34 runs total.

25 — Years since the NCAA tournament’s top overall seed has won the national title, with the 1999 Miami Hurricanes serving as the most recent.

30 — Come-from-behind wins by the Vols this season, a total that leads the nation.

99 — Projected temperature in Omaha at the start of the game.

225 — Tennessee’s victory total since the start of the 2020 season, the most of any team nationally.

651 — Runs that Tennessee has scored this season, a total that leads the nation.
