The NBA Schedule for the 2023 season was released on August 17. See below for NBA tickets, top matchups and other schedule information for the 2024-25 NBA season.
The buzzer has sounded on the 2024 NBA finals, and the 2024-2025 NBA season is fast approaching with the season tipping off in October.
The league is slated to return Oct. 22 for the 2024-2025 NBA season. The 2024-25 season will feature an in-season tournament involving all 30 teams. The tournament will not affect the regular season as every team will still play 82-games.
It's likely that the NBA schedule will be released between Aug. 16-20. In the late 2000s, the NBA schedule release date was in the first week of August, before moving to Aug. 10 in 2010. The following year, the league moved up the schedule announcement date to July 19, the earliest it's been in the last decade-plus.
Once the full schedule is released, the date that NBA tickets go on sale will also be released.

When is the 2024 NBA Draft?
The 2024 NBA Draft will be held at the Barclays Center in New York City on June 26-27. Fans can tune into the action on ABC, ESPN and ESPN+.
Where Will the 2025 NBA All-Star Game Take Place?
The 2025 NBA All-All Star game will take place from Feb. 14-16 at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
Election Day Games / Civic Engagement Night
For the 2020 election, 23 NBA teams and arenas served as voting facilities.
It is likely that no NBA games will be scheduled for Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 5) as the league will continue to encourage fans to make a plan to vote.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day Games
The NBA will continue its long-standing tradition to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day during the 2024-25 NBA season.
Last year, the celebration included these four nationally televised games:

- Grizzlies vs. Warriors
- Rockets vs. 76ers
- Thunder vs. Lakers

The 2024-25 NBA season will start on Oct. 22.

NBA International Schedule
The NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2024 will feature the Boston Celtics vs. Denver Nuggets on Oct. 4 and Oct. 6 at the Etihad Arena. The NBA will also play in Mexico City and Paris in 2025.
