There's nothing to talk about. There's nothing new since almost 3 months ago, and EA is not saying anything. The game is basically on life support.

Like I wrote on the other thread, the writing is on the wall... this was a press release from Feb 28.
EA announced it will lay off 5% of its workforce, about 670 employees.
“We are also sunsetting games and moving away from development of future licensed IP that we do not believe will be successful in our changing industry,” CEO Andrew Wilson wrote in a memo to employees.

@NWildesieif- and thats -IF- -EA- were to implement cross play, it would help out this game a ton, but... -EA- is too lazy, too incompetent to put simple things in the game that would make the player base happier
Please with the crossplay is going to save the game, look at 2k before crossplay and after, it didn’t do much. The game is still 75% off, before and after.
The game needs features, crossplay won’t make anybody happier to play. Plenty of players, new stuff is what will help. Better Pro Pass, Country Clubs, remove playlists, add custom lobby making for online, more modes, more clothes, more stuff to spend money on, better tournaments, country club created tournaments, more courses, etc.

Oh wow, didn’t see that. Can you link this source?
Never mind found it.
Electronic Arts has announced that it, too, is undergoing mass layoffs, with plans to let go 5% of its total global staff, or roughly 670 individuals.
In a note today sent to staff, CEO Andrew Wilson said that EA is reacting to "accelerating industry transformation where player needs and motivations and changed significantly." Crucially, EA also said that it is "moving away from the development of future licensed IP." EA currently has several confirmed Star Wars and Marvel games in development, including a third Jedi game, Black Panther, and Iron Man.
We've since learned that EA is canceling Respawn's Star Wars FPS, which was announced last year but had not yet been fully revealed.
According to Wilson, EA will double down on owned IP, sports, and "massive online communities." While Wilson did not provide details on which games would be sunset, EA already announced it would be shuttering two mobile games: F1 Mobile Racing and MLB Tap Sports.
"This greater focus allows us to drive creativity, accelerate innovation, and double down on our biggest opportunities — including our owned IP, sports, and massive online communities — to deliver the entertainment players want today and tomorrow. Lastly, we are streamlining our company operations to deliver deeper, more connected experiences for fans everywhere that build community, shape culture, and grow fandom," Wilson wrote.
IGN understands that these layoffs will impact a number of teams across EA, largely affecting support teams. While some developers will also be impacted, EA largely hopes to move them off of canceled projects and onto other teams. Per Wilson, these changes are already being communicated, and will "largely" be completed by early next quarter.
"I understand this will create uncertainty and be challenging for many who have worked with such dedication and passion and have made important contributions to our company," wrote Wilson. "While not every team will be impacted, this is the hardest part of these changes, and we have deeply considered every option to try and limit impacts to our teams. Our primary goal is to provide team members with opportunities to find new roles and paths to transition onto other projects. Where that’s not possible, we will support and work with each colleague with the utmost attention, care, and respect."

A little over a year and it’s game over. I remembered Rory lasted longer than current game.
I remembered one EA game that started out disastrously and made a colossal comeback one year later. That was Star Wars Battlefront 2. The gameplay was great with little bugs at release. What fueled the comeback was adding content for Clone Wars and Sequel Trilogy. EA PGA Tour needs a massive bug fix and upgrade to replicate the success of Battlefront 2. The problem with PGA Tour is the fanbase for Star Wars is a million times more than golf. That was where the revenue for Battlefront came from.
A golfer that is just as Iconic as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Rey and Darth Vader is needed. Tiger was that last iconic golfer; that was the reason TW14 was that amazing.

I don't think there's another Tiger coming, he was unique at the time, Nike got behind him and he changed the game. Now half the field hit it over 300yds, almost all of them are training to be in great shape and taking care of what they eat. A young Tiger would probably be another DeChambeau in this field. Now Nike is behind Caitlin Clark, she's the one who is unique and attracting crowd everywhere, hitting 3 and being compared to Steph Curry.
New name, new look, same great benefits: EA Access and Origin Access are now EA Play.
