Game Update Required Error (PC)

Anybody else getting "Game Update Required" on the EA Desktop App (PC)?  It has been updated and installed, it wants me to update again however it says Download Complete and get stuck on the Download Manager tab.

I am having an issue with The sims 4.  It has a required update.  However, every time I try to update the game, it gives me a "download error try again later" message.  I have contacted EA  customer service to try and get this issue resolved.  I have tried all their recommendations on disk cleans, reinstalling the EA app, moving folders, disable things and re-enabling them.  No suggestion as resolved this issue.  I need help!
