Last week our friends at QMS hosted a breathwork session in our office organised by former iProspector Daniel Augustine. We're really grateful for the session especially considering the results on our overall calmness. Thanks to Matthew Bowd, Simone Donovan, Valerie MacDougall and Elliot Devine for organising.
🤯Such a crazy feeling heading back into iProspect Australia to run a Remindful Breathwork session 🫁 iProspect was the first agency I joined when first coming to Australia over 10 years ago. To see where it has come since then is incredible. It's easy to forget that iProspect was just a small PPC agency part of the large Dentsu Network, yet, while Dentsu has undoubtedly gone through turbulent times, within that, iProspect has seen tremendous growth, not just from a business POV (across all channels including offline!), but an incredible culture not often seen in large holding groups. Hats off the the whole team, as it takes a village, but also, when asked "what keeps you at iProspect?" the team will happily mention the great leadership of Marcelle Gomez and her focus on empathetic, people-focused leadership. So bringing in a Remindful Breathwork session for the team was a testament to this culture being developed. With that in mind, I wasn't sure how much I could offer the team with a workshop to unwind, as their "pre" survey results were already some of the highest I've seen! However, the powerful session still led to a further 50% increase in calmness with some very relaxed (and shocked!) faces after 🫁🚀 Great work team and thanks to Jean-Yves Scauri, Sam Bremner and Amanda Bodagh for bringing this to the team. At Cannes in Carins Marcelle Gomez attended a panel discussion hosted by Captify®, focusing on the word 'shift' as it evolves our industry and that acceleration of change works across channels, privacy, AI and structures. In the discussion Marcelle said on AI: “With regards to AI, I’m sick of hearing it a bit. People drop the acronym like it’s a drinking game. For me it’s a part of our business and has been for ages. [The same principles have] been used in marketing since the fifties and sixties to inform pricing strategies, customer segmentation and more. Last week our National Digital Performance Lead Bonnie Dodemaide attended Google Marketing Live in Melbourne. The showcase included Google’s newest innovations and how AI will supercharge the advertising lifecycle. Her three key takeaways from the event were: 1. Google AI can be put to work in many different ways seen through new innovation such as Project Astra or The Iconic using Gemini to aid search results. For current consumers relevancy is key, only 23% are served relevant ads, using Google AI powered products will increase this percentage and generate business outcomes for clients. 2. The introduction of profit optimisation is now available for Performance Max shopping campaigns which will lead to 15% uplift in campaign profit 3. Creative improvements, tests showed getting ad strength to excellent saw 6% more performance for campaigns. We appreciate Bonnie sharing this with the team and are keen to start implementing these updates through test and learn with our clients.
