A pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash Saturday morning, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Police said shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday, officers received a report of a crash involving a pedestrian along the 600 block of northbound Carefree Circle.
Initial investigation found the vehicle had been traveling west along the roadway when it ran a red light, striking a pedestrian.
Officials said the pedestrian suffered serious bodily injury from the crash, and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
According to police, neither speed nor alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash. Neither the driver of pedestrian have been identified at this time and no arrests have been announced.
