🚨 Attention Job Seekers: A 'Jumpy' CV can be your downfall in your job search 🚨 I have seen far too many 'Jumpy' CVs lately; candidates with 3-4 roles in less than 2 years - and they are not taking contract roles, they are jumping for a bit of extra money or because they are bored and I have to say; it doesn't look great! In today's competitive job market, your CV is your first impression. But what happens when it looks a bit jumpy? Employers often raise eyebrows when they see a CV that jumps from job to job in quick succession. While career growth and change can be positive, a 'jumpy' CV might unintentionally send the wrong signals: - Lack of Commitment: Rapid job changes can suggest a lack of commitment, making employers hesitant to invest in your long-term growth with their company. - Skill Development Concerns: Moving too quickly may raise questions about whether you've developed and deepened your skills in any one area. - Cultural Fit: Employers consider cultural fit and how well you might integrate into their team. Rapid changes can imply difficulty in settling into a new work environment. So, what can you do if your CV looks 'jumpy'? ✅ Highlight Growth: Emphasise the skills and experiences you've gained at each role, demonstrating how each step has contributed to your professional journey. ✅ Explain Transitions: If there are legitimate reasons for your job changes (such as contract roles, career shifts, or skill diversification), explain them briefly on your CV or in your cover letter ✅ Show Stability: Focus on roles where you've spent significant time and contributed meaningfully. This can balance out any perception of instability. If you have a short stint on your CV; make sure the next role that you go to is one that you WANT to be at longer - loyalty and stability ARE still important to employers, I promise! #JobSearchTips #CareerAdvice #CVTips

🚫 Avoid These Interview Mistakes: No really, don't do these 🚫 Throughout my career in recruitment, I've witnessed some memorable and cringe-worthy blunders candidates have made during interviews. Here are a few that stand out: ❌ Interrupting the interviewer while they’re asking a question 🥛 Bringing and drinking from a bottle of milk during the interview 🚶 Leaving mid-interview because they had "somewhere else to be" 📅 Showing up a day early and demanding to see the hiring manager 🙅♂️ Only addressing the male interviewer, completely ignoring his female colleague 😰 Feeling nervous about interviewing is completely natural, especially if you're preparing to look for a new role. The best way to ease those nerves? Speak to an expert who understands the client and their process thoroughly. 💬 Interested in talking to one? Reach out to our team at Aspire or drop an application through to one of our many roles in the link in the comments to set up a chat this week! #InterviewTips #JobSearch #CareerAdvice #Recruitment #JobHunting #InterviewPrep #Aspire #CareerDevelopment #JobSeeker #InterviewMistakes #Insightjobs #Researchjobs #Datajobs

No one will ever join your company being a 100% fit for your organization, and you're close-minded if you think so. Sometimes it takes people one week to assimilate, but sometimes it can take someone six months or more—and that's completely fine. The speed at which they adapt depends on what support system you have in place to help them, nurture them, and empower them to become an integral part of your organization. Creating a robust onboarding process, setting clear goals, and providing continuous support are crucial for ensuring new hires succeed. I've had situations where candidates quit in the first month or were let go after a couple of weeks. We always have the same conversation: ❓ What kind of onboarding did the candidate have? ❓ What were their goals in the first 90 days? ❓ What do you believe is impacting their performance? ❓ Have you had monthly reviews during the probation period? These questions help us reflect on the process and identify gaps in support. It's not always just about a candidate's personal abilities but rather the tools they are given to succeed in their roles. A well-supported employee is more likely to thrive and contribute positively to your organization. Investing time and resources into a comprehensive onboarding and support system can make a significant difference. It helps new employees feel valued and equipped to meet their potential. Remember, their success is your success. 🤷♀️ Has this ever happened to you? How do you ensure your new hires have the support they need to succeed? 🤔 #employeeengagement #candidateexperience #onboarding #probationperiod #recruitment

🌟 Resilience is a powerful and amazing quality! 🌟 It means enduring immense challenges and traumas, yet still showing up with a smile and spreading love to those around you. ❤️ It's about falling down a million times and always getting back up. 💪 Choosing to dance in the rain when you could stay inside. 💃☔ Believing in your dreams and fighting every day to achieve them, when the world is telling you it's impossible. 🌠 Making those cold calls repeatedly, and being rejected constantly until you are a success. 📞✨ Choosing to take the hardest path as staying still is the worst thing you can do. 🛤️🚶 If you possess resilience and don't feel valued for it, recognize it as a superpower—it truly is. 💥🧚♀️ I am privileged to work with an extraordinary team whose resilience inspires me daily. They face every challenge head-on and give their all, day in and day out. 🚀 If you want to join a team that recognizes resilience as the superpower it is, values your contributions, and is committed to giving their best, then get in contact.
